When do applications close? Will late entries be accepted?
We will stop accepting applications on Monday, June 1, 2026. Any late entries are subject to rejection and are guaranteed to be placed on the waiting list, if accepted.
What ranking system is this event recognized by?
World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR)
If I am not accepted into the tournament, when will I get my refund?
On or before June 5th, you will receive notification of your status in the Women’s Western Amateur. At that time, if you haven’t been accepted yet, you will have the option to stay on the waitlist or be removed and receive an immediate refund. If you choose to stay on the waitlist and are not admitted before the start of the tournament, your refund will be initiated on or before July 13, 2026.
Is there a host hotel with a discounted rate for players?
Yes. The Women’s Western Amateur Championship Committee conducts hotel visits to ensure a safe and clean stay at a partnering hotel in an area with a variety of food and beverage options. A booking link will be distributed via the player acceptance email.
When will I find out who my host family is if I signed up for private housing?
Email introductions between players and host families will be sent on or before June 22nd.
Can I hire a caddie for the tournament?
Yes, River Forest Country Club will have caddies available for hire during the tournament. More information will be included in the acceptance email.
Can I sign up for additional practice rounds at River Forest Country Club prior to the start of the tournament?
The tournament committee does not permit players to make additional tee times for practice rounds prior to tournament week. River Forest Country Club is a private club and is kept open for its members prior to the tournament.
