Frequently Asked Questions

When do applications close? Will late entries be accepted?
We will stop accepting applications on Monday, June 13. Any late entries are subject to rejection and are guaranteed to be placed on the waiting list, if accepted.

What ranking system is this event recognized by?
World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR).

If I am not accepted into the tournament, when will I get my refund?
On June 17, you will receive notification of your status in the Women’s Western Amateur, if you have not already. At that time, if you have not been denied acceptance, you will have the option to stay on the priority waitlist or be removed and receive an immediate refund. If you choose to stay on the waitlist and are not admitted before the start of the tournament, your refund will be initiated on July 19, 2022.

When will I be notified if I am accepted into the tournament or not?
Status notifications will be rolling, on a case-by-case basis. However, all players will be notified of their status on or before July 17, 2022.

Is there a host hotel with a discounted rate for players?
Yes. The Women’s Western Amateur Championship Committee conducted hotel visits to ensure a safe and clean stay at a partnering hotel in an area with a variety of food and beverage options. A booking link will be distributed via the player acceptance email, and all reservations must be booked by July 8 to ensure the tournament rate.

When will I find out who my host family is if I signed up for private housing?
Email introductions between players and host families will be sent on July 5.
